I have recently taken interest in the work of Dana Tanamachi and the amazing passion she has for hand rendering type in chalk. I was so inspired that I had to try this out. It was time for a room remodel anyways so I decided a huge chalkboard wall it would have to be. This is my first attempt at had lettering a quick lock up I created for BSC. After four sticks of chalk and three hours I realized it was quite a bit harder than it looked but lots of fun. I especially like that fact that it made me realize how talented and driven you had to be to be a graphic designer back in the sign painting days. I am going to try and create a new design once every month so check back soon!
